I seem to love ruining my childhood

I got Disney's Hercules on iTunes. Oddly, I actually hated it as a kid because I was a Greek Myth nut. A year or so later I got over that and just sat back and told the part of me screaming at how it mangles everything I knew to shut up. (Seriously, even the kiddy books told me Zeus was a Womanizer.)

So I watched it, and I was all "Where'd all this homoeroticism come from? I mean, take a look at Hermes, and there's the Narcissus thing (Which kiddy books de-homo-ized the tale of)

  • Favourite game: Final Fantasy IX, I just wish I could get a working PS1 memory card
  • Favourite gaming platform: DS and Wii. Can't pick one. Haven't played anything except movies on the PS2 in forever.
  • Favourite cartoon character: Zuko, to pick apart behaviorally. Or one of the many sketches of Yero... I'm such a fangirl.
  • Personal Quote: Animation is an artform, not a genre.
  • Tools of the Trade: A mechanical pencil, my sketchbook, inspiration, Prismacolor Pencils, and no optimism

Baum Canon's underappreciated. It's all Wicked and Tin Man with some MGM thrown in. (If only I could draw decent enough to make Baum Canon look decent)
